Vacuum forming is a process that uses heat and pressure to shape a sheet of plastic into a desired three-dimensional object. It is a manufacturing method used to shape plastic materials.

Vacuum forming is used in the manufacturing industry for many different purposes, including making plastic parts for cars, furniture and appliances. It can also be used to make custom products such as signs or other promotional materials.

A vacuum forming machine consists of two major components: the vacuum chamber and the heating unit. The heating unit heats up the plastic sheet until it becomes soft enough to be shaped by the vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber then sucks out all of the air inside it and creates a partial vacuum. This causes the heated sheet to conform to any surface inside it that is not airtight, such as an aluminum mold or a plaster cast.
